143: EARLY 20TH CENTURY STEAMSHIP ADVERTISING PRINTS

1. The framed advertisement for steamship 'City of Montgomery,' original frame with 'Savannah Line' logo stamped in gold, printed signature for illustrator Samuel Ward Stanton (1870-1912) lower right, circa 1910. Samuel Stanton was an avid marine artist, scholar and author who tragically lost his life with the sinking of the Titanic in 1912.

2. The image of S.S. President excursion steamer originated as a two-color photogravure wrapped around and mounted to a thick cardstock board and hand colored, it is displayed in an aluminum frame with title plaque lettered, PLEASURE BOAT NEW ORLEANS.

3. A New England Steamship Company advertising two-color poster for the 'Fall River Line, Overnight to New York.'
Overall framed size measures 18.5 x 14.25, 20.5 x 33, and 29.25 x 29.5 inches.
Very good condition, noting some light toning, light creases and scratches.
