388: A WAR OF 1812 ERA SWORD WITH EAGLE AND FIVE-BALL GUARD
The early 19th century sword in period leather scabbard is topped by a figural cast eagle pommel over the reeded handle completed by a decorative hilt and handle, each cast with five balls of graduating sizes. The unpolished blade having gold inlaid etching is untouched. A rare leather scabbard with unpolished brass mounts is included.
Measures 33 x 5 inches.
Very good condition, noting the effects of age and carrying as expected. there are no issues of major damage or repair.
