Rare and unusual enameled fob for the Pope-Hartford Automobile Company, in operation from 1903-1914. Founded by Albert Augustus Pope, a former Brevet Lieutenant Colonel in the Union Army and avid promoter of bicycles and cycling. Started diversifying into automobiles in 1896.
Measures 1.5 inches x 1.25 inches.
Good condition overall, noting minor wear to enamel details, oxidation across the reverse, as shown.
