37: STAFF SGT CHARLES T. MYERS IKE JACKET, UNIFORM, BULLION
Staff Sergeant Charles T. Myers, 86th Infantry Division Band, 86th Infantry Division Pacific Theatre. Complete Ike Jacket with all insignia, shirt, tie and garrison cap. And a khaki uniform with shirt, insignia, OD trousers, waist belt with buckle and khaki garrison cap.
Also included: A shadow box containing an 86th Infantry Division SSI, Western Pacific Far East Command SSI bullion, U.S. Army forces Pacific Area SSI, a photo of Myers, pair of infantry brass, Staff Sergeant stripe, dog tag and five place ribbon bars; A large format album with lots of military orders and 88th Infantry Training Battalion booklet with photos of officers and group unit photos; A boxed photo album with 463 photos of Myer's service 1945-1946 with a color photo on the cover with the Ike uniform; A photo album with 60 photos; and Service Record.
Charles Myers entered active duty February 10, 1945 achieving rapid promotion to the rank of Staff Sergeant. Following basic training, he shipped out to the Pacific Theatre on August 10, 1945 with initial assignment to the Western Pacific Command in Manila then the 86th Infantry Division. When the war ended, he returned to CONUS on September 26, 1946 and was discharged November 30th. He earned various awards. Very good clean condition throughout, no major stain or damage, odor free. fade spot of cap as shown.
