Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal.

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1941 following Pearl Harbor. Following flight school, he was commissioned as 2nd Lt. USMC in 1944. He saw action in the South Pacific while flying the F4U Corsair. He left active military service as a Captain on 1 December 1951.
