91: VET OF TWO WARS SGT. WELLS, AAF, UNIFORM AND MORE
T. Sgt. Glen Wells, 338th Squadron, 96th Bomb Group, 8th USAAF. Glen Wells entered active military duty on 25 Aug 1941 assigned to the 8th AAF as a radio / gunner on a B-17. Shot down over Lorient, he evaded capture and returned to duty. He was discharged on 28 Oct 1945. Two months later he enlisted in the USMC assigned to the 1st Marine Wing. He saw action in Korea, earning the Air Medal with three stars, Good Conduct Medal with four stars.
