68: A CARVED AND GILDED WOOD SIGN LETTERED LYNNHAVEN

The scroll-cut single-sided wood sign with counter-relief lettering of LYNNHAVEN bracketed by decorative flourishes in gold, the reverse painted in old green with signs of mounting, the origin is not positively known. There was a tugboat named the Lynnhaven built in Baltimore in 1910 and operated in Virginia. Ed McHugh, the former owner, lived in Virginia years before returning to Ohio.
Measures 112 x 5.5 inches.
Very good condition, noting a split on the right, minor effects of age and weather.
