The cross stitched linen sampler filled with numerous well-executed motifs including various animals, birds, flowers, urns, plants, human figures, Adam and Eve at the Tree of Life with snake and airborne angels, cats, dogs, teapot, squirrel, etc. The work is illegibly signed '_____ _______, her work in the 10 year of her age 1774(?).'
Frame measures 18 x 16.5 inches.
Good condition noting some toning and fading, a separation upper left quadrant, small holes and tatters.
