381: A 19TH CENTURY PEAR FORM FRUITWOOD TEA CADDY

The hinged upper portion having wood stem opens to reveal the lock mechanism and interior lined with a tin lead alloy referred to in the period as 'tea pewter', exterior finish with horn escutcheon is nicely patinated.
Measures 7.5 inches.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair or heavy wear.
