About the artist, courtesy of AskArt.com, where Mr. Hansen is described as a Grassroots Artist: 'Lived near McClouth, Kansas working as a mechanic and making furniture in his woodshop. Also made animals, many with battery-powered eyes that light up when you pull the tail.'
