220: A NICE GARABAGH CAUCASIAN RUNNER DATED 1923

The 99 year-old wool on wool hand made runner with plain red field centered by a column of nine and a half blue conjoined hooked rhombus medallions each enclosing a cruciform arrangement of red flower heads within a dark blue border enclosing continuous flower heads, the Islamic lunar date of AH 1342 woven in the red field translates to the Christian date of 1923 AD.
Measures 115 x 43 inches.
Very good intact condition with what appear to be the original side wrappings, intact close ends, even low pile overall, there are no issues of damage, repair, or hardened areas.
