AN EARLY FLUID BURNING CLASSIFICATION LAMP

25: AN EARLY FLUID BURNING CLASSIFICATION LAMP

The tin housing with hinged front door retains early - perhaps original - bright red paint with a very dry surface. the front opens to a clear disc lens with mechanical red and green glass flag lenses each side (one red flag is missing). A series of levers raises and lowers one or two green or red lenses visible through the front when complete. The hinged side door that served to access, fill and maintain a fluid burner is frozen closed. There is no burner. No markings were found.
Measures 12 x 9 x 9.5 inches.
Good to fair as shown, noting the top stack is missing, no lighting apparatus, one red lens is lost, dents, oxidation, the front door hinge solder joints are broken and the door is loose.
