248: A FINE LOUIS XV PERIOD THREE DRAWER COMMODE C 1750

The provincial style example in walnut with serpentine top from a single board over a conforming case with three drawers carved with raised panels interrupted by central roundels and appropriate brass hardware, over a scrolling skirt on four short cabriole legs. Each end is paneled in two drop sections and the original back is constructed with four raised panels. The dense, old growth wood makes this an unusually heavy case piece for its size.
Measures 38.5 x 50.5 x 25.25 inches.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair, light wear and the effects of age and use to a reasonable degree are evident.
