The woodland landscape with figures along a tributary is signed lower left and dated 1893 on a gallery label verso from the Christian Klackner firm. Klackner was a lifelong dealer in fine art in addition to publishing etchings, engravings and mezzotints.
Canvas measures 36 x 28, the frame is 48 x 40 inches.
Very good condition noting a minor, four-inch line of inpainting extreme lower edge just above the frame opening. There are no other issues of major scratches, losses, repairs, in-painting or touch-up.
Provenance: A Leawood, Kansas living estate.
