27: A POWWOW ERA YOUNG MAN'S BEADED DANCE COSTUME

The leather outfit beaded with white ground is embellished in two colors of green beading along with orange and red beads comprising regalia of two arm bands, two leg bands, a fringed breast plate necklace with central opening, a wide beaded belt and 3-inch wide beaded leather strips.
Bag measures 6.75 x 4.5 without fringe, fringe is 6.25, and handle drop is 5.25 inches. Measures 7 x 9 including fringe and 12.25 x 2.5 inches. Measures 31.75 x 3.25 and buckle is 4.25 x 4.25 inches.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage, repair, loss or stain.
Provenance: The 40 year collection of Father Tom Wiederholt, Kansas City, Missouri. Tom was a close personal friend of scholar and curator Ralph 'Ted' Coe who advised Tom on most of his acquisitions.
