9: LOUIS CHARLOT (FRENCH 1878 - 1951) OIL ON CANVAS

A French modernist landscape oil on canvas signed lower left and displayed in a fine Baroque style carved and gilded wood frame from the early 20th century. Titled Morvan in the spring or Le Printemps dans Morvan. Three Galeries Georges Petit 8, rue de Sèze Paris exhibition labels verso (1923 and 1924) along with a later dealer's label stating this work was painted and exhibited in Barcelona 1923. The sight size through the frame opening is 31 1/2 x 38 3/4 inches and the frame dimensions 40 x 47 1/4 inches.
Very good original condition. There are no issues of repair, in-painting, touch-up or paint loss to any portion. Original and unlined, no inpainting as confirmed under UV light examination.
