This lithograph (not an offset lithograph) is signed by Thomas Hart Benton in pencil below the image lower right and titled in the plate below the image lower left.

This print is a lithograph. It does not display the dot matrix pattern of an offset lithograph.

According to 'The Lithographs of Thomas Hart Benton' by Creekmore Fath, Benton created a special edition of this print (an offset lithograph) for members of the U.S. Congress in 1951. Additional offset lithograph prints were sold to to raise funds for the citizens of Kansas City affected by the flood. This image also appeared on the cover of 'New Republic,' November 19, 1951, to illustrate Benton's article entitled 'Disaster on the Kaw.'
Image size 11.5 x 14.5, sheet measures 14 x 17, the frame is 21.25 x 24 inches.
Good condition, wide margins, presumably the untrimmed sheet, not laid down, no damage, puncture or repair. There is considerable mat burn and toning as shown here outside the frame and mat.
