A large oil on canvas signed lower left, likely a view of the Androscoggin River Valley White Mountains, New Hampshire. The canvas measures 23.5 x 37, the fine museum quality 19th century frame measures 33 x 46.5 inches.
A minor craquelure area in the center of the canvas, small losses. A dime-sized area of inpainting on the left side and two tiny points of inpainting left of center visible under UV light. One small network of touches in an area 1.5 x 2.5 inches on the right side 3-inches above the signature. Very good condition overall.
