140: ANTIQUE SIGNED & DATED BACCARAT WITH 4 GRIDEL CANES

Antique French Baccarat close packed millefiori paperweight featuring a rich assortment of compound canes (shamrock, trefoil, star, whorl, heart, cane bundles) and cane signed B 1848. Four Gridel canes - pelican, rooster, squirrel, archer.
Measures 2.309 inches.
There is a line in the glass that encircles the weight's top surface, a 'straw mark' by some definitions. The line is original to the piece and confirms there has not been any polishing.



There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of wear, save the normal evidence of age in the form of abrasion on the polished base.
