4879: A 1920s FRENCH WAX FASHIONABLE LADY WITH SKIS DOLL
The fashionable young lady skier with poured wax head having hand painted features stands wired to the lid of a Marquise de Sevigne Paris chocolates box lid covered in white batting. Her costume is a stylish striped sweater belted over long felt wide leg trousers, felt gloves with matching beret and leather skis along with a single pole. She's displayed under a makeshift dome fashioned from a thick Pyrex glass laboratory dome on a completely unrelated circular tray of the period with plated rim having stamped design.
Good condition as shown free from damage, replacement or repair. She may at one time have had two poles, her facial features are slightly deteriorated as shown,
