333: A BENSABBOTT STERLING SILVER VANITY MIRROR WITH JADE

The table-top cheval mirror with overall decoration of engraved foliate designs is mounted with a carved jade plaque and stamped BENSABBOTT STERLING CHICAGO along the low outer edge of the base.
Measures 18.75 x 11.75 x 7 inches.
Very good condition, noting some lifting of the lacquer.
Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.
