442: CHINESE PEWTER URNS WITH CARNELIAN AND JADE CABOCHONS

The pair of covered vases with applied foliate decoration and mounted with oval cabochons of carnelian and jade are accompanied by a footed oblong basin with engraved ocean wave motif and brass handles.
Bowl measures 4.5 x 9.5 x 8 and the urns are 13 x 7 inches.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear.
Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.
