382: A BENSABBOTT STERLING LAMP WITH CHINES ROSE QUARTZ

The 1930s table lamp with chased and gilt sterling silver base is mounted with a Chinese rose quartz carving of standing Guanyin beside a phoenix bird on teak stand. The lamp base is stamped BENSABBOTT SHOP CHICAGO STERLING.
Measures 28 x 9.5 x 5 inches without shade.
Very good working condition, no damage, repair or heavy wear.
Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.
