475: A COLLECTION OF FOUR CONTINENTAL PORCELAIN FIGURES

The circa 1900 figures of women in 18th century court dress are signed with unidentified blue crown maker's marks, the gentleman with pipes in coat having playing card suits is signed M E Claus and Bourdois & Bloch, the parrot with loss to two feathers is unsigned.
Sizes range from 8 x 7 x 4 to 6.5 x 5.5 x 4 inches.
The figure with arms and dress out wide is free from chip, crack or repair,, The parrot has loss of two feather tips, the seated man and woman with lace have the typical minor losses at cuffs and hems, no major damage of the figure.
Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.
