320: A LARGE CHARLES LOTTON SUNSET MULTI FLORA BOWL

The unusual double-cased Sunset Multiflora bowl is layered with two art glass walls worked in flower heads floating among long, sinuous tendrils of purple black that originate at the top black rim and snake throughout the design before gathering in a wriggling, tangled web at the polished pontil under the base. The flower heads, leaves, tendrils and vines float in opalescent-tinged glass that ranges in color from fuchsia to gold. The gold iridescent interior finish serves to create give the piece its sunset effect. The work is signed 'Charles Lotton 1987' engraved along the edge of the polished base.

Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of wear to any degree unless the base wear is considered.
