21: A CONTINENTAL PORCELAIN PLAQUE SIGNED E. MARCHANT

The hand painted profile of a young woman in Victorian attire against a faux texture ground of 'C' scrolls is enclosed by a blue border with hand painted holly traced in gold and accented by raised red enamel beads. The work is signed E. Marchant lower right and displayed in an ornate wood openwork frame. Circa 1880 - 1900.
Measures 23.75 x 18.5 inches.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear.
