8: A CONTINENTAL MAJOLICA POTTERY CENTERPIECE C. 1880

The rococo chariot attended by leopards and surmounted by a female figure in classical robes is decorated in more than a dozen shades of brightly colored glazes, and mounted on a base with 'C' scrolls and satyr masks.
Measures 13.75 x 13.5 x 7 inches.
Very good condition, noting an old tight line repair to one foot, tiny flake to one wheel, and one area that looks unnatural and may or may not be an area of professional restoration. this piece presents very well. Only under close inspection in sunlight are any issues visible.
