31: A DIAMOND QUILT PADDED SEAT SADDLE ATTRIBUTED 'CROCKETT

This rich brown saddle with diamond quilted padding on the seat, stamped border decoration and mahogany leather swell has a nickel horn and six conchos. There are no markings. John Royle has attributed the maker of this saddle in his inventory as 'Crockett.'
Measures 14.5 inches from the gullet to the stitching on the cantle.
Very good condition, noting slight warping of the back end of the skirt, replaced leather strings. No damage or repair, no sheepskin.
