158: EARLY 20TH C. CHINESE EXPORT SILVER BOX AND OTHER ITEMS

1. A plum shape swing-open container with enamel decoration of leaves, flowers, bat and auspicious symbols in carved silver relief with colored enamels against an oxidized ground of stippled texture. The decoration tops a plum-form container with additional symbols around the outside and stamped maker's marks on the base.

2. A ribbed melon form hinged box of silver or silver-plated metal with applied tendrils and leaves with enameling, no markings found.

3. A handmade carved and openwork silver magnifying glass frame with hand engraved details, no markings found.
Measures 2 x 2, 2.25 x 2.25, and 5 x 2.25 inches.
Very good condition, noting a chip to the enamel on the ribbed melon shaped container,
