253: AN 18C. REGENCY CONVEX MIRROR WITH WINGED HIPPOCAMPUS

The carved and parcel gilt surmount with hippocampus on rocky base is joined to a fluted plinth over the circular frame with soft water gilt finish and painted beads enclosing a convex glass plate, finished with an acanthus drop finial.
Measures 35 x 18.75 inches.
Very good condition, noting the typical effects of age creating a good patina in the way of very light oxidation, original back, some minor age separations as shown.
