264: A 19C OR EARLIER ENGLISH GILTWOOD OVER MANTEL MIRROR

The fine carved and gessoed wood frame in its original gilt finish with carved shell surmounts houses the silvered mirror plate. Circa 19th century or earlier.
Measures 58.5 x 50.5 x 4 inches.
Very good condition with the soft, water gilt finish, may be a replacement mirror plate.
