The oil on panel Grand Canyon view is signed lower left and accompanied by its original, signed preliminary pen and ink study upon which the artist expanded to create the final composition. He portrays the geological formations of this natural wonder below corresponding cloud formations during that period of time before sunrise or after sunset when the sky is partially illuminated by the sun though it is below the horizon. Measure 12 x 20 inches.

Everett Emerson Glass is a recently re-discovered artist largely self-taught and most associated with Kansas and the West. Measures 13 x 10 inches.
