222: A LATE 19TH CENTURY NW PERSIAN HERIZ SERAPI CARPET

The wide red guard border encloses a central field with ivory spandrels and large central navy blue medallion all designed with the good, angular drawing and thin construction typically associated with antique hand made Serapi carpets.
Measures 153 x 117 inches.
Good condition with intact sides, no odor, minor end loss, a large darkened area, scattered spotting, areas of heavy wear down to the foundation in some limited areas as shown. No major damage or repair.
