Serial number places the year of production at 1941.

The receiver is marked with five line patent information and JOHNSON AUTOMATICS/MODEL OF 1941 with logo, Providence, Rhode Island. The right rear side of the receiver is stamped with a star and CRANSTON/ARMS/CO. inside an inverted triangle. The right side of the rear sight is stamped ''METERS'' and ''0-1000'' with ''M2'' stamped on the left side.

The typical standard features include heat shield with seven rows of perforations over the two-piece walnut stock, smooth pistol grip stock having checkered metal butt plate, leather sling, bayonet, and leather scabbard.

This gun qualifies for shipping directly to a holder of FFL Type 03 License - Collector of Curios and Relics.
Rifle measures overall 46 inches with 22 inch barrel. When attached, bayonet adds 8 inches to overall length.
Excellent condition, 95% or better finish, looks unfired, stock has small chip on bottom forearm and 17mm crack near the magazine, bayonet sheath is in good condition. Bore condition: Excellent, shiny, clean.
