7: WINCHESTER 12GA M1897 PUMP SHOTGUN WITH MILITARY MARKS

Winchester 12 gauge M1897 (serial #:956196)
Serial number places the year of production at 1950.

Left of the receiver is stamped 'U.S.' with flaming bomb, back of the barrel is stamped '2 3/4 CHAM CYL (choke)' with flaming bomb and touchmark on top.

The barrel is fitted with perforated heat shield and milled at the end for bayonet lug, smooth walnut pistol-grip stock, grooved fore-arm, hard rubber Winchester butt plate. There is a rear sling swivel but no sign of a front sling swivel.

This gun qualifies for shipping directly to a holder of FFL Type 03 License - Collector of Curios and Relics.
Measures overall 39 inches with 20.5 inch barrel.
Good to very good condition, 90% or better finish, stock with very few dings, no front sight, dents, scratches, wear to the heat shield. Bore condition: Excellent condition, shiny, clean but for some firing residue toward the receiver end.
