The top of the barrel has the two line Colt address and patent dates, left side of the barrel is marked COLT DA 38, the underside of the barrel is marked '1763', bottom of the butt is marked ''U.S./ ARMY / MODEL / 1894 / No / 61 / 763'' The left side of the frame above the grip is marked ''R.A.C..''

The serial number on frame, barrel and cylinder all match. Blade and notch sights, the grips are the correct smooth walnut military versions.
