61: A HANDSOME HIGH FORK AND HIGH BACK SHIPLEY SADDLE

The A-frame with wide swell before the deep seat and pronounced high back cantle, the dark mahogany leather is stamped with decoration overall though with heavy wear, Stamped with the older CHAS P. SHIPLEY | MAKER | KANSAS CITY oval mark surrounded by hand stamped decoration reminiscent of that found on Navajo silver.
Measures 14 inches from the gullet to the stitching on the cantle.
Good original condition, no stirrups, heavy wear to the stamped decoration, replaced strings, no major damage or repair.
