163: LATE 20TH CENTURY PRISON ART ON WHIRLEY PLASTIC MUG

Founded in 1960, the plastic wares and advertising premiums of Whirley Industries remain popular late 20th century retro and vintage collectibles. This Whirley footed cup is embellished in the Prison Art medium of match sticks joined to create a veneer which, in this case, has been decorated in black ink with a folky (and spicy) depiction of a nude woman below a banner lettered FREEDOM.
Measures 4.25 x 4.5 x 3.5 inches.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair.
