State of Missouri, County of Christian, January 19, 1860. ''Received of A. A. Pendleton the sum of $1650 in the first payment for two Negro boys… 12 years of age and George 10 years old… .''

November 1861 list of property taken by the federal army under the command of generals, Charles Fremont and James Ln., Hunter… One Negro man, by the name of Alfred, about 30 years of age of mulatto color, full 6 feet high, very stout and tolerable… One Negro man by the name of???… 34 head of cattle comprising… 10 fat hogs averaging 200 pounds… 28 head of sheep… 7B stands and honey… Chickens and turkeys… One Clock… bushels of corn… 40 pounds of picked cotton… Four log chains'' etc.

January 29, 1853, Johnson county Missouri bill of sale for a family of Negroes, with detail on each.
