LATE 20TH C. STONEWARE KOSHARI CLOWN AND HOPI WOMAN

102: LATE 20TH C. STONEWARE KOSHARI CLOWN AND HOPI WOMAN

The intriguing studio pottery group sculpted from stoneware is wonderfully modeled and glazed in an interesting technique. There is a perfectly legible title verse back side - along with a completely illegible signature. The artistic value is considerable and the work is clearly that of an accomplished artist. It was a gift from friends in New Mexico to the seller's parents.

The scratched text back side reads:

The flirtation with exasperation.

Or.

''No Harry it just wouldn't work - besides, my family's, Republican.''
Measures 21 x 15 x 10 inches.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear.
$500 - $1,000
