99: A PYRAMID LAKE PAIUTE INDIAN CRADLEBOARD WITH BEADING

The bent willow frame is backed by a woven reed structure and bound in hide with laced front opening. The top portion is decorated in glass seed beads and centered by a hood of woven reed embellished with pink and red wool yarn and intact bead drops. Narrow bands of beading above large colored glass beads on fringe decorate the front.

A card of the period accompanying this piece identifies the maker and location while a second hand written note lists the date of purchase as 1941.
Measures 34.5 x 15 x 14.5 inches.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair or heavy wear.
