68: AN UNUSUAL CRAZY QUILT WITH EMBROIDERED SILK BORDER

The large crazy quilt is centered by an intricate confetti-like field of silk and velvet fabrics joined by elaborate feather stitch embroidery, and enclosed by red silk borders and salmon corner blocks embellished with floral sprays; machine stitched satin backing and velvet binding, a rod pocket is mounted on the back side. A hand-written note attributes the work to Elizabeth Brady Chansler(sp) (Missouri, 1861-1915).
Measures 69.5 x 69.5 inches.
Very good condition, noting tatters to some of the delicate silks and areas of light fading.
