358: AN AMAZING CHINESE GOLD VERMEIL FILIGREE & ENAMEL FAN

This outstanding example is comprised of sixteen intricate filigree sticks; seven without gold wash and nine with gold wash - all applied with elaborate enamel floral decoration. The accordion leaf is embellished with finely painted and applied faces on each of the many figures throughout the composition.
Measures 11 x 20.75 inches.
Weak old repair to the first two sticks on right in first image will possibly separate from handling, cellophane tape on the second pleat as shown in the second image, chip to one applied face and very light wear to a couple others, otherwise very good without other damage or repair.
