363: A FINE 19TH C. CHINESE EXPORT HAND FAN IN LACQUER BOX

The pleated leaf of hand made lace and gauzy insets is specked with silver sequins and oval 'leaves' interspersed among the hand painted florals on gauze among the lace. The carved bone sticks are inlaid with silver spots. A shaped, lacquered box with gilt decoration on black and fitted interior has a hand painted mural in the lid.
Fan measures 9.75 x 17 and the box is 2.5 x 14.5 x 4.25 inches.
Very good condition, noting one stain in the lace and wear to the exterior of the box.
