306: AN ELABORATE 19C. HAND FAN WITH SILVER OVERLAID STICKS

The pleated leaf with fully hand painted 18th century French genre scene is mounted on twenty-two intricately pierce-carved sticks embellished with rococo swirls and figures in silver, some vermeil technique with gold wash. The back side is accented with hand painted floral sprays.
Measures 11.5 x 19 inches.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair or heavy wear.
