The bronze plaque with verdigris patination on rich brown depicts a bespectacled Theodore Roosevelt above the adage Aggressive Fighting for the Right is the Noblest Sport the World Affords. The image is signed Fraser 1920 upper right for the famous American sculptor of cowboys, Indians, and horses, James Earle Fraser who is best known as the designer of the Buffalo nickel.
Measures 16.25 x 13.25 inches.
Very good condition, noting a blemish in the surface within the word AFFORDS.
