The fine, precision made brass instrument has a hand engraved silvered dial signed W. & L. E. Gurley, Troy N.Y. with fleur-de-lis at the north position, bubbles are present, the original dovetailed mahogany case is fitted inside and with many of the original tools and accessories.
Case measures 12.75 x 9.5 x 7.75 inches.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair or heavy wear, except for the case exterior and missing lock.
