Benton's comments on this image in Fath read: My Kansas City art students acted as scouts to find good models for our classes. This old man was from one of the small towns near K.C. A painting was made directly from life. The litho was made from the painting. The last I heard of this painting it was in India in the collection of an American doctor who resides there.
Image measures 10 x 12.25, sheet size 12 x 14, the frame is 19 x 21.5 inches.
Very good to fine condition, the sheet with wide margins is not laid down and free from damage, stain, punctures, tears or repair.
