Margaret Whittemore (Kansas, 1897-1983)

The collection of twenty miniature hand colored prints of Kansas landmarks are each signed in pencil by the artist on the lower right and titled lower left. The medium appears to be lithography, the impetus is not clearly confirmed.

It is known that Whittemore published a series of sketches of early Kansas landmarks in Sunday issues of the Topeka Daily Capital during the 1930s. It is possible that these images are related to that commission.
Overall sheet size measures 3.75 x 4.5 inches.
Very good condition, intact, no trimming or mounting, never framed, some may display toning from storage as shown.
