9762: A MOSER INTAGLIO CARVED TOPAZ CRYSTAL VASE WITH CAMEO

The very fine, subtly shaded, topaz-colored crystal vase is deeply carved with serrated leaves rising to poppy flower heads that make up the outline of the cut and polished rim.

The body front is centered by an applied hot pad wine red flower head with wheel carved detail.

A recent Moser company brochure describes the technique as, 'The technologically-demanding combination of a deeply engraved floral motif and three-dimensional decoration using a coloured, bonded plaque in the shape of flowers is a protected design belonging to the Karlovy Vary glassworks.'
Measures 14.5 x 6 inches.
Very good condition noting one very small nick on the flat polished area of the upper rim. There are no other chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear.
